Hydrogen, Liquid Lithium Battery/Fuel Cell with Electrolysis Mode (SVH-2012-RFCE)

Contact: Gary Bloomer, 406-994-7483

A new type of hybrid battery/fuel cell employing liquid lithium provides operation in three modes:

  1. In fuel cell mode it will take in gaseous fuel and air to produce electricity.
  2. In the battery mode, a higher electrical output can be sustained during the time that the reaction converting liquid lithium to bulk lithium hydride can be maintained.
  3. In the electrolysis mode the device employs electric power and steam to produce hydrogen and oxygen.

Increased Oil Yield in Oilseed Crops for Enhanced Biodiesel Production (GMJ-1999-PUROIN)

Contact: Nick Zelver, 406-994-7706

A protein expressed in oilseed plants increases the oil content.

Plant Oils to Jet Fuel and other High Value Chemicals (MSUN-2012-CNPO)

Contact: Gary Bloomer, 406-994-7483

A process to convert camelina oil to jet fuel and other high value chemicals in a continuous flow process at low temperature and pressure.
