Introduction to Research Translation

Did you know that university research can have a tremendous impact in helping create a better world? Did you know that 77% of projects that aim to create impact from research have graduate students deeply involved in their success?
The Intro to Research translation program enables graduate students to explore what translating their research means and how it can fit in their career building goals.
YOU can be one of those changemakers. If you think someone can benefit from the results of your research or if you're just curious to learn more, consider applying for this short 4-hour program.
Examples of projects already being explored include:
- A team from the school of education building a tool for first generation students to learn how to navigate college life while in high school,
- An engineering student using her research to create a tool for hospitals to better predict patient outcomes,
- A plant science student using his expertise to improve wheat's productivity in increasingly dry environments.
Attendees are eligible to receive a $200 scholarship for participation, and will be eligible for additional support to continue exploring the potential of their projects upon completion of the program.
The program is run in small cohorts throughout the year.
