ART Ambassadors
Leaders in research translation, our diverse team of ART Ambassadors represent varied academic areas of interest and encourage research translation of all types. Our Ambassadors will share their stories with the MSU community, promote research translation, serve as advisory board members, and contribute to the programmatic efforts of the NSF ART program.
Alison Harmon
Vice President of Research and Economic Development
Areas of interest: Conceptualmodel development for education in sustainable food systems; impact of sustainable food systems education; integration of sustainability into dietetics education.
Sreekala Bajwa
Vice President, Dean & Director, College of Agriculture
Areas of interest: Agriculture engineering, agriculture technology, precision agriculture, applying remote sensing and unmanned aerial systems to agricultural practices

Areas of interest: Characterizing and controlling nanostructured and thin film materials for quantum information technology and energy applications

Areas of interest: Mechanisms bacteria use to defend themselves from phage infection, and counter mechanisms that phages use to subvert bacterial immune systems

ART Ambassadors are leaders in research translation and will be featured in events and programs throughout the life of the ART program. They will share their stories with the MSU community and work to foster an environment that supports and encourages research translation of all types.
All of them. Research translation doesn't always mean commercializing a technology. The ART program is designed specifically to encourage societal impact of all types of work being done at MSU! Every discipline and academic area of research qualifies for translation.
