Seed Translational Research Program (STRP)

Who is eligible? 

• Individuals and/or teams currently participating in the MSU Builders' Program are eligible to apply.

What are the program requirements?

• Defining and meeting milestones as determined by a a team including yourself, industry mentors and Technology Transfer Office staff.
• Ongoing collaboration with the Technology Transfer Office toseek alternative or supplementary funding, adapt project plans as necessary, andengage in coachingin order to improve project competitiveness- translating to upwards of 5 dedicated hours per week.

What is a typical award amount?

• Initial award amounts for proof of concept/ validation of viability of the project are $25,000.Individuals and teams that meet milestones may be eligible for additional funding!

How do I apply? 

Current Builders' Program members will work with their team lead to progress to the STRP application.
